Company and Author Profile Alken and Andrew Hall

With over 20 years researching in the Aluminium Industry; Andrew Hall started Alken in 1994 to fill the need for specialist consultants in the Aluminium field.

The DL version of "Aluminium Intelligence Service", published by Alken, is the sequel to the CD Version of "Aluminium Semi-Fabricators of the World", itself the sequel to "Aluminium Semi-Fabricators of Asia & Oceania", published by Pacific Research Group in Tokyo in 1990, and the volumes "Aluminium Semi-Fabricators of the World" published by the Aluminium-Verlag in Dusseldorf from 1991 to 1995.

Pacific Research Group had been involved in research in the aluminium field since 1986 and among its contracts was the compilation of a Japanese-language directory of the world's aluminium companies for the Japan Aluminium Association.

The research for these directories was all undertaken by Andrew Hall and Alken. Alken acts as Consultant to the aluminium industry, specialising in the Far East region, and as compiler of a series of directories of the world's aluminium companies. Andrew Hall is also a Contributing Editor to the American magazine "Light Metal Age", published in San Francisco, Editorial Consultant to the British magazine "Aluminium International Today", published in Surrey, Editorial Consultant to the Italian magazine "Al", published by Edimet in Brescia, and Editorial Consultant to the Japanese magazine "Alutopia", published in Tokyo. He also contributes articles to the British journals "Metal Bulletin Monthly" and "Aluminium Times". He is the Managing Director of Alken and a member of the Alken Consultants team, who undertake worldwide consultancy projects for the aluminium industry.
